ORLANDO, FL, January 29, 2015 – Mitigation Marketing, the state of Florida’s leading provider of wetland and habitat mitigation credits, announced today that Alexis M. Preisser, a 12-year veteran in the environmental and biological sciences field, joined the company’s executive team as vice president.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Alexis to Mitigation Marketing! Her experience, education and philanthropic commitment to our environment will immensely contribute to our pursuit in conserving more than 35,000 acres of protected and restored land in Florida,” Victoria Colangelo said, who assumed the role of president with the hire of Preisser. Dennis Benbow retains ownership of the firm.
Preisser’s experience resides in wetland jurisdictional determinations, environmental resource permitting, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, Project Development and Environment (PD&E) studies, listed species surveys, mitigation planning and ecological site assessments.
“I’m honored to accept the VP position with Mitigation Marketing,” Preisser said. “I’m certain that my permitting background of both land development and transportation projects, including post-permit compliance and mitigation design, will serve the future of the company well.”
Preisser currently serves on the Orange County Environmental Protection Commission and the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals Statewide Board. She is a Florida Fish and Wildlife-authorized Gopher Tortoise Agent, having performed many gopher tortoise relocations throughout the state. Additionally, she Alexis M. Preisser, VP is a Florida Department of Environmental Protection-certified Stormwater Management Inspector.
