The Purchase Process

1. Feasibility

The client provides Mitigation Marketing with the project location, and we match them with a suitable mitigation site to meet their needs. Clients can also use our mitigation mapping tool to determine which mitigation banks can service their projects.

2. Information Request

We send a checklist to the client to gather detailed project information. Alternatively, the client can complete the online credit sales checklist form, after which a team member will follow up to discuss any additional information required and provide the purchase documents.

3. Purchase Documents

We prepare a purchase agreement and a 10% deposit invoice for the client. Some clients opt to pay the full credit balance upfront, bypassing the deposit.

4. Reservation Confirmation

Upon receiving the signed agreement and initial payment, we issue a reservation letter to the client or their consultant. This letter is used to confirm to regulatory agencies that the necessary mitigation credits have been reserved.

5. Final Balance

If the full balance wasn’t paid upfront, the remaining amount is due upon permit issuance or within the timeframe specified in the agreement (typically 90 days, but this can range from 60 to 120 days depending on the mitigation type).

6. Credit Transfer

After receiving the final payment and permit issuance, we complete the credit transfer process and provide confirmation to the client.
